Welcome

Our Story

Every Life Has a Story Worth Weaving

If you had told the little girl running through Florida orange groves that one day she would spend her life helping families grow, heal, and find confidence in the way God designed their bodies, she probably would have smiled, climbed another tree, and gone back outside.

I was born and raised in Winter Haven, Florida, back when the landscape was filled with orange groves and quiet roads rather than endless neighborhoods. My childhood wasn't spent scrolling screens—it was spent outdoors, making memories, getting dirty, and learning that God's creation has a way of teaching lessons if we're willing to pay attention.

I was what most people would call a tomboy. I loved playing ball with the boys just as much as I loved ballet. I played several musical instruments, thanks in part to growing up in church where music was woven into our everyday life. My father faithfully served as a music minister in Southern Baptist churches throughout my childhood, and church became more than just somewhere we attended—it became the foundation of our family.

Long before herbs became part of my life, flowers did.

Some of my sweetest childhood memories are working in the garden beside my mama and my granmama, caring for roses together. Looking back now, I can see that God was quietly planting seeds in my heart long before I realized they would one day grow into something much bigger.

When Faith Became My Own

Although I was raised in church, faith truly became my own when I was seventeen years old.

Around that same time, another passion was taking root inside me: the sanctity of human life. Psalm 139 became more than a favorite chapter of Scripture. It became the lens through which I viewed every unborn child, every mother, and every family.

"For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb."

Those words shaped the direction of my life.

I spent my teenage years supporting the sanctity of life, and over the years that conviction has only grown stronger. Every life is intentionally created by God, and every family deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and truth.

A Friendship That Became a Lifetime

My husband and I have known each other since childhood.

I was ten years old. He was fourteen.

We grew up as part of a close-knit group of friends, and over time he became one of my very best friends. After attending The Citadel and serving in the United States Marine Corps, he returned home to Winter Haven. What began as a friendship grew into a relationship built on faith, laughter, and the belief that we could serve God better together than apart.

Today, after more than two decades of marriage, military life and law enforcement have taught us lessons that few people truly understand.

Life can change in an instant.

Plans shift.

Schedules disappear.

Holidays get interrupted.

But through every season, God has remained faithful.

Those experiences taught us to treasure ordinary moments, depend on prayer warriors, and recognize that time with the people we love is one of God's greatest gifts.

Learning Through Motherhood

Nothing prepares you for becoming a mother.

It's exciting.

It's overwhelming.

Sometimes it's joyful.

Sometimes it's terrifying.

Sometimes you wonder if you're getting anything right.

Motherhood has taught me that perfection isn't the goal—faithfulness is.

Over the years, God has entrusted us with ten incredible children.

Each one has taught us something different.

Our third child challenged us to wonder if we were really cut out for parenting. Our fourth reminded us that God is still writing the story. The first five children were born in the hospital. The last five entered the world peacefully at home. Every birth was unique, every child different, yet every one of them pointed us back to God's goodness.

Having ten children has a way of sanding down perfectionism.

You learn to apologize.

You learn to adjust.

You learn that what worked for one child may not work for the next.

You learn to celebrate progress instead of perfection.

Most importantly, you learn that grace isn't just something we read about in Scripture—it's something we practice every single day.

Choosing a Different Path

When our family chose homeschooling, it wasn't because we thought we had all the answers.

Quite the opposite.

I had previously nannied for a wonderful family with six children and had seen firsthand how meaningful family-centered learning could be. Combined with military life and the possibility of frequent moves, homeschooling simply made sense for our family.

What we didn't expect was how much it would teach us.

Success began to look different.

It wasn't measured by ribbons or report cards.

Sometimes success looked like a struggling reader remembering yesterday's lesson.

Sometimes it looked like a child overcoming fear and making their very first close friend.

Sometimes it looked like learning life skills that can't be measured by a standardized test.

Education became less about checking boxes and more about raising capable, compassionate, lifelong learners who love the Lord.

How Herbs Changed Everything

As a child and young adult, I struggled with illnesses that often left me feeling unheard. Too often, one treatment simply led to another problem.

I remember thinking over and over:

"There has to be a better way."

That question stayed with me for years.

The answer didn't begin revealing itself until I was pregnant with our sixth child and preparing for our first home birth.

Our midwife introduced me to herbs.

I was fascinated.

I started buying books, enrolling in classes, studying every chance I had, and experimenting carefully with the plants God created. The deeper I learned, the more convinced I became that our Creator had provided remarkable gifts in creation.

On the third day of creation, before people were ever formed from the dust, God created plants.

That truth has always been deeply meaningful to me.

He knew we would need them before He created us.

Since then, I've watched herbs support breastfeeding mothers, comfort babies, encourage healing, soothe skin, and become trusted companions for families seeking gentle, practical wellness.

Calendula quickly became one of my favorite herbs because of its incredible versatility, though my garden always has room for favorites like lemongrass and helichrysum too.

Becoming a Doula

While studying natural living, another calling quietly took shape.

I still remember sitting at one of my older children's karate classes when I finally enrolled in my doula training.

That simple decision changed the course of my life.

Wonderfully Made Doula Services was born from one desire:

No mother should walk through birth feeling alone.

As I continued learning, the business evolved into Psalms 139 Family Wellness, with HerbalDoula becoming the herbal side of the ministry. Over time, I realized families didn't just need support during birth—they needed someone they could trust through many seasons of life.

My very first client was welcoming her second baby at just thirty-five weeks. Watching her experience a safe birth while feeling heard and supported confirmed that I was exactly where God wanted me.

Over the years, I advocated for countless families.

I celebrated victories.

I cried with parents.

I rejoiced over healthy babies.

I also experienced the heartbreak of watching families feel unheard within systems that often seemed more focused on policies than people.

Eventually, carrying those burdens became heavy.

Rather than stepping away completely, I chose a different direction.

Today my heart is still the same.

I simply serve differently.

Instead of standing beside every laboring mother in person, I now focus on education, consultation, herbal wellness, and empowering families to make informed decisions with confidence.

Why Woven Whole Co-op?

As God continued growing both our family and my vision, it became clear that I had outgrown the title "doula."

Birth will always be part of my heart.

But families need support long after babies are born.

They need someone to answer questions.

Someone to encourage them.

Someone to point them toward trustworthy resources.

Someone who believes they are capable.

Someone who reminds them that they are never alone.

Woven Whole Co-op represents that larger vision.

"Woven" reflects the beautiful way God intertwines every season of our lives.

"Whole" reminds us that wellness is about far more than physical health. It includes our faith, our families, our homes, our minds, and our hearts.

And "Co-op" reflects one of my biggest dreams.

I don't simply want to sell my own herbal products.

I want to help other small businesses—families with gifts, talents, and handcrafted products that align with biblical values, natural living, and wholesome family wellness—find a place where they can flourish alongside us.

My prayer is that Woven Whole Co-op becomes a trusted gathering place where families discover carefully chosen products, honest education, practical encouragement, and Christ-centered hope.

Our Heart

At Woven Whole Co-op, we believe every family deserves to live naturally with truth.

We believe God designed our bodies with incredible purpose and wisdom.

We believe education empowers families instead of frightening them.

We believe wellness should never leave people feeling ashamed or "less than."

We believe healing often begins by letting go of fear, embracing hope, and learning to recognize God's faithfulness even in difficult seasons.

Most of all, we believe every person is fearfully and wonderfully made.

Whether you're preparing for birth, raising children, learning about herbs, rebuilding your health, or simply looking for someone who will listen without judgment, you are welcome here.

This isn't just a business.

It's the story God has been weaving all along.

And we're honored to have you become part of it.
