Wonderfully Made Doula Training



Wonderfully Made Doula Training was born in June of 2018 from Megan Shytle, a doula, family herbalist, Christ-follower, Veteran LEO/Military Wife, and Homeschool Mama of many.  Megan has served birthing families formally since February of 2014.  She has been an adopted daughter of the KING for over 2 decades.  For most of her adult life, she has been a devoted military wife, to her husband John, while he served active duty in the USMC.  In 2014 their family changed the way they served in the military and they have happily served as an SC National Guard family.  From 2016-2020 their family also served as a Law Enforcement Family when John started as a police officer with the Beaufort PD after graduating from The Citadel.  Megan has spent almost 2 decades nurturing their children at home while homeschooling them alongside John.

Megan has always loved birth.  When she first entered college in 2000 her major was nursing.  Her dream was to work in a Labor and Delivery unit in her hometown of Winter Haven, FL.  As she became wiser to the birth world she directed her focus on Holistic and Natural Care for women in birth.   After putting any form of a career on hold to care for their children, Megan began the process of becoming a Doula in 2014.  Before that time she had birthed 5 of their children in hospitals, 1 at home and was due to birth a second at home that fall.  While learning about the homebirth world in 2010 Megan also began her journey to becoming a Family Herbalist.  In December of 2018, her dreams grew as she began the process of becoming a Certified Master Herbalist and Certified Master Clinical Aromatherapist through Heart of Herbs.

Working with the birthing families of the LowCountry has been a blessing to Megan.  Her joy for giving Birth back to women and their families is something she would love for more women to have.  Sadly the lack of a Christ-based Doula program made it hard for her to share her dream and goal with likeminded women who wanted to become Doulas.  So, Wonderfully Made Doula Training was born. 

Wonderfully Made Doula Training is a Christ-centered and Biblical Doula training.  It is a Holistic and Natural Birth Support program. As of July of 2018 Wonderfully Made Doula Training is a Pilot program.  Students are allowed to start their Doula training at a low cost while they help improve the program for the students of the future.  Megan plans to launch Wonderfully Made Doula Training in full force by December of 2021.  For now, if you would like to be a part of this Christ-center Doula Training Pilot Program please fill out the application form found here.
